💩🔥DIY continues with a poo-pourri spray. The spray-before-you -go stench stopper. Do you have a partner who drops a bomb 💥💩 in the loo? Maybe it's you? Spritz this on the toilet water BEFORE you go and trap those odors in the bowl. This is a stink-fighting, non-toxic must. I carry one in my bag of wonders for on-the go help since a lady likes to be a lady.
recipe for 1 oz. bottle so adjust accordingly: 1) 1 teaspoon rubbing alcohol (can use vodka or witch hazel)-this helps oil and water from separating 2) 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerine (can use castile soap) -this helps create a thick barrier to trap the stink 3) 20 drops of your choice of essential oils. I prefer 10 lemongrass and 10 Bergamot. Maybe you like peppermint or how about a woodsy aroma? If that is not enough fumigate your feisty fecal funk, feel free to add more! 4) Fill the rest of the bottle with water preferably bottled or distilled water just to prolong the life of it since tap water isn't without fault Number one Shake and spritz 5-6 sprays onto the toilet water BEFORE you go number two. This is not a room freshener but a stink trapper. Proceed with your bathroom needs then flush. The fumes are trapped and will go down the drain with the solid waste leaving him wondering does your poo really smell like roses after all?🌹

Itchy ears or filled with wax? We all know you are NOT supposed to stick anything but your elbow in your ear but everyone still does it. Why not at least make it a safer tool? I know many people who stick tweezers, clippers, paper clips, Qtips and other sharp objects in there. My own hubby has a hilarious tale of losing the ball off of a quilting pin in his ear.
I love these handy tools. They have a scooper on one end and a brush on the other. Perfect for itchy ears or excess wax buildup. Clearly you still need to use caution and not jab it or anything else deeply into your ear. Easily found at Pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens and Walmart. I need a kick in the pants this morning. The perfect wake-me-up is a coffee sugar scrub! It really sloughs off the top layer of dull winter skin And makes your skin so smooth. Oh, and it's affordable. Mix it up in 2 minutes and hop in the shower to scrub away. It goes down the drain just like it would in your kitchen sink so nope, it won't clog.
Caffeine increases circulation so it gives the appearance of less cellulite. Sugar is a great exfoliant and the coconut oil makes skin as soft as a baby. The peppermint EO wakes you up so this is the perfect morning scrub. Ratio of 1 cup sugar to 1 cup unused coffee grounds to 1/2 cup liquid oil. You can increase quantity keeping ratios the same.1 cup sugar, 1 cup unused coffee grounds, 1/2 cup liquid coconut oil. Optional add 15 drops peppermint oil to really wake YOU up! Who uses Castile soap? I use it multiple times a day and find it incredibly helpful. I prefer the Dr. Bronners brand. Castile soap is vegetable based and is sometimes referred to as olive oil soap. It comes in liquid and bar forms in many different fragrances. Find it at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Trader Joes, many grocery stores and Amazon.
I use the liquid version as soap in the shower, as a shaving "lotion", as a handsoap, in my facial wash, soap for my kids and for cleaning. Try Mixing a big squirt with baking soda to make a "soft scrub". Let it sit on greasy spots in the kitchen then scrub off. For handsoap you can mix equal parts Castile and water in a soap dispenser of your choice. Here is my kitchen soap dispenser. I LOVE lemon. I personally add some Thieves essential oil into mine too. So much more affordable and quick to mix up! How do you use your liquid Castile? Luscious lashes overnight! You saw the daytime help now try this at night. Take a little glass bottle or repurpose a used but clean mascara tube. Add 5 drops each of lavender, rosemary and cedarwood essential oils. Fill the rest of the way with castor oil. It is super nourishing and thick. Apply to lashes before bedtime and watch those lashes grow. The cedarwood will even help you rest better since that plant has that effect on people. Your welcome! Tip-don't put on with contacts still in your eyes or they get all smudgy due to the castor oil. This is meant to go on before you sleep.
Ok it's nail polish time. The stuff is generally toxic. It smells bad but looks so pretty. There are many chemicals in nail polish that are chemical disrupters. That means they mess big time with your nervous system. It is tough to see the stuff on little kids and pregnant women when they are so vulnerable anyway.
There was a study done at Duke University that showed just a few minutes after nails were painted a chemical shows up in the urine of women. That chemical TPHP or TPP leaches into the body and is a known endocrine disrupter. You have heard of an endocrinologist doctor right? So the endocrine system controls hormones, metabolism and growth. That chemical helps the paint adhere to the nails and we all hate peeling polish. Guess where it is also seen? The breast milk of moms. That bad. So a few tips. 1. Don't paint both toes and nails, choosing one at a time to limit exposure. 2. Do them yourself so you don't have to breath in the chemicals in the nail salon. They wear masks in there for many reasons from fumes to dust to chemicals. 3. Take the winter off from polish on the toes. 4. Use a nail polish with limited crap in it like phthalates, formaldehyde and and toluene. 5. Bring that better polish with you and have the salon use it. I use Mineral Fusion polish. When I get my toes painted I bring it with me to the salon and let them use it. They have never even once said no. I go during the weekday when hardly anyone is there so I don't have to breath the yucky smell in for long. It LOVE when they paint my nails because they do a much better job then I do. So I just make smarter choices. I get this at Whole Foods and have seen it online. Uh oh. I woke up with a very sore throat. Not great timing given I have a weekend filled with family parties. So what does a crunchy doctor do to start the healing process?
One spoonful of homemade fire cider elixir, a spoonful of honey loquat syrup and suck on a slippery elm lozenge. I'm also going to bust out my essential oil Thieves /AKA the "Master a*s kicker" that gets crap like this bombed. I will put it in my diffuser machine, swallow a capsule filled with Thieves and also do multiple spritzes all day long of a soothing throat spray I made. Off to have my warm lemon water now. There is a lot you can do at home to kickstart the healing process or at least support your body. We are going to teach you many things like this over the next month. Ok bentonite clay talk continues! Have you ever heard of a mud bath or mud facial? Mud really means clay and clay is a natural mineral from the earth composed of aged volcanic ash. The name comes from Fort Benton, Wyoming where they have the largest amount of clay.
Bentonite can be used externally as a mud pack, in skin care, deodorant or bath care recipes. A good quality Bentonite should be a grey/cream color and odorless. Bentonite is known for its ability to absorb and remove toxins, heavy metals, impurities, and chemicals. When mixed with water, it swells open like a sponge and can draw out toxins from your body. Put it on your face to clear up your skin. Put it on your feet to clear out crap from your body like toxins and impurities. Here I put it on my belly, let it dry then placed an ace bandage firmly around my midsection. Leave it on for a few hours but definitely remove if uncomfortable. I have a big party to attend this weekend. My dress is a bit too tight. I'm going to do a clay pack on my tummy and wear a tight ace bandage for a few hours. This is going to help de-bloat me and make that dress fit! After a few hours I will wash this off then Apply my coconut oil and grapefruit essential oil. Then I will shake my 'thang' on the dancefloor! Here are some other uses for your peppermint essential oil (EO). Drop a few drops onto your cool, damp towel for workouts. The cooling effect of peppermint will tingle your skin thus waking you up and invigorating you to push harder. The smell opens your nasal passages and more oxygen to your brain and muscles is a GOOD thing. It also feels invigorating to have a few drops added to your body lotion and apply on your arms and legs to tingle your skin.
Speaking of tingle, you can add a drop of peppermint to your love lube and benefit from a little tingle action downstairs if you catch my drift. It IS almost Valentines day.... Baking brownies soon? Well not until after this 31 day sugar-free challenge of course. But when you do, put 2-3 drops of Young Living peppermint in the batter before you bake. Voila, now you have peppermint brownies. Got ants in your house and they drive you crazy? Mix up a spray bottle of water and peppermint to soak the areas you see them. Ants-be-gone. Yep, bookmark this one for the warmer months. Feet sore? Make a sugar scrub with sugar, liquid coconut oil and a few drops of peppermint essential oil. Loofah away. Get headaches frequently? Digestive issues? Sinus trouble? Peppermint could be an easy way to support your body! I can keep going and talk about peppermint ALL night!! What is YOUR favorite way to use peppermint EO?? As I mentioned earlier this month, I crave something sweet in the evenings. When we avoid sweets for a while, a really cool thing happens.... You don't really crave them anymore. Your taste buds start coming back again for other flavors. I was chomping on a carrot the other day and it was amazing how much flavor it had! The following is one of my favorite healthful ice cream recipes that is so simple it is silly! Put two frozen bananas (freeze them before they turn black for best taste) and a heaping spoonful of almond butter in your food processor. Process until it looks like soft serve ice cream. You can add other fruit such as blueberries and strawberries if you want too! It is so good, so simple and you get potassium and few grams of protein instead of unnecessary calories and sweeteners!
