As I mentioned earlier this month, I crave something sweet in the evenings. When we avoid sweets for a while, a really cool thing happens.... You don't really crave them anymore. Your taste buds start coming back again for other flavors. I was chomping on a carrot the other day and it was amazing how much flavor it had! The following is one of my favorite healthful ice cream recipes that is so simple it is silly! Put two frozen bananas (freeze them before they turn black for best taste) and a heaping spoonful of almond butter in your food processor. Process until it looks like soft serve ice cream. You can add other fruit such as blueberries and strawberries if you want too! It is so good, so simple and you get potassium and few grams of protein instead of unnecessary calories and sweeteners!
