I find I need some brightly colored fresh flowers around to lift the winter blues. I usually grab them at Trader Joe’s since I’m practically there weekly and the prices are decent. 🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺
⠀⠀ $5 to make me smile for a few days, sure! Oils blasting in the diffuser and pretty flowers are my mood boosters. What’s your go-to for winter blahs? Aside from a trip to Hawaii...

Here’s my Hormotional BFF to help me feel more in control. One swipe rolled on day and night. Progesterone can be magic for most of us women. So as your natural production slows with age you can turn to wild yam extract for a little boost. Want more hormone help? Leave your email and I’ll send you a little webinar.
Earthing Or Grounding is just better in Hawaii.
⠀⠀ Humans and the earth are both electrically charged. Having our bare skin touching dirt, water or sand and rocks allows electrons to flow into the body where, in theory, they could neutralize free radicals and inflammatory damage. ⠀⠀ Sand and ocean water are both naturally conductive materials and both help ground the body and remove excess positive electrons. That’s why you feel so good at the beach! 🏖🏝🏖🏝🏖🏝 Get out and explore. I didn’t even leave the good ol’ USA and my eyes have seen remarkable beauty. The colors Mother Nature provides here are healing and borderline magical. I’m soaking up every last drop of sun and moon.
Mama’s fish house!!! A MUST on Maui and so worth the wait.
🌺I’m obsessed with the view and that flowering plant called towering ginger. 🎣 The Ahi Tuna was spot on. 🐙 Octopus appetizer was something I could eat daily! 🍫and that chocolate mouse pearl dessert left us speechless. Another fun fact for ya! I just learned that you wear the flower behind the left ear if you are married and behind the right if single. Just like the wedding band!
We finally got a chance to dip our toes in the sand. The water is cool but that doesn’t stop the surfers. I get lost watching the beauty of these colors swirl together out there. And I know I keep saying it, but the waves that build from so far in the distance are gigantic by the time they roll to shore crashing a giant the rocks. The sound is like a White noise machine soothing sound waves on full blast held against a magnaphone. Truly magical. I envision the ocean waves swallowing little old me so I’ll just hang back and search for calmer waters.
The friendly and engaging Hawaiian man who officiated my brother’s ceremony had beautiful words to say about flowers on the Lei. I find their culture fascinating!
⠀⠀ First off, giving a lei represents a symbol of affection. The hand picked flowers are made with love, or aloha. They are made up of many flowers just like our lives are made up of many friends. They are fragrant just like the friends in our life. ⠀⠀ I’m totally thinking of all the fragrant friends in my life that surround me and love me. A circle of beauty! Of course I had to arrange these Leis in a predictable heart shape on the Hawaiian sand. I’m might turn into a pineapple! I mean, you are what you eat, right?? 🍍 🍍 it is soooooooooooooooo much better in Maui. And a pineapple Piña colada? TO DIE FOR! I’m trying Dole Whip next! Or at least an adult slushy 🍹
