You know those newspapers that come with your young living order? I ripped this recipe out and had to try it! I love rhubarb and have it growing in my garden. A bunch was ready so I used rhubarb and fresh strawberries. And my family loves crumble on anything so I made sure I smeared it all over the bubbly goodness. Soooooooooo good! It reminds me of the yummy homemade desserts we had after church when I was a kid. Midwestern grandmas make the BEST family meals. Nothing beats fresh from the farm to table.
🐛🐛🕷🕷🐞🐞Tick To-go Tote🐜🐜🐝🐝
My kiddos go to school on a large farm and spend a considerable amount of time outdoors. We know ticks. We know bugs. Poison ivy...Snakes....bee stings ...Sunburns. I've got a natural Dr. mom remedy for it all. OK, maybe not the snakes!🐍🐍 Here is how we arm ourself against tick season. 1) I spray my kids liberally with our homemade outdoor spray (recipe covered on the blog previously) 2) if said tick is encountered then you just swipe it off. Use a lint roller and roll all over after being outdoors. IF you find a tick embedded inside you then twist it out. Using these twisty tools are super helpful!! Gently lift tick then twist and the barbs of the tick release and come out. Perfect for humans and fur babies! Cheap too! 3) I then take one drop of purification essential oil by Young Living and apply it to the wound AFTER the tick is removed. It cleans it up nicely. NEVER put essential oils onto an embedded tick! Here is the face cream that I make for myself. I have dry skin that is sensitive so I need moisture and no crap in the lotion. I have always got hives within minutes of using any brand of lotion with fragrances and chemicals. So I keep things very simple. I use this day and night. My skin drinks it right in and doesn't leave a film or greasiness to it.
3 tbsp Shea butter 3 tbsp sweet almond oil 1 tsp vitamin E 1 tsp aloe Vera gel 15 drops total of EO for your skin (I used rose, geranium and helichrysum (by Young Living) I use one of the glass measuring pitchers. Place it in a pot 1/2 filled with water. Add the Shea butter in the measuring cup and bring water to a boil. When the mix in the measuring cup is melted then stir in the sweet almond oil, vitamin E and aloe. Let cool slightly then stir in your chosen EO. Pour into jar and enjoy your glowing skin! Talk about the perfect Mother's Day gift! You know mama wants those oils everyone is talking about. FREE tangerine oil when you order in the month of May. Want help? I chopped a red pepper, tomatoes, avocado and cilantro. Then tossed it with fresh lime and a sprinkle of salt flakes. Soooooooooo clean and good. My belly is full but not bloated and gross. Enjoy!! 5th grade Olympics today! This big guy is gonna be sore tomorrow after all the track and field sports. Nothing a warm Epsom salt and essential oil tub soak can't fix. Dr. Mom to the rescue!
