Yep, the water is THAT BLUE!! We went on a whale watch today. I learned all kinds of thing. The males sing, thought to attract other males. Kind of a mating call. Like, “hey I need a wingman.” Or, “hey the ladies are over here!” Unbelievable.
🐳 🐋 We learned the whales swim all the way from Alaska to Hawaii this time of year to mate, have their baby and nurse their baby before they had back to Alaska to eat again. ⠀⠀ They actually have to chow down before they arrive since Hawaii offers them zero source of food! They have plenty of mates to choose from and actually are quite promiscuous! Once they have their baby calf they nurse them which gives the baby enough calories and energy to swim back to Alaska. In fact, those baby calfs consume about 52 gallons of milk a day! ⠀⠀ By the time the female whale gets back home she will have lost 1/3 of her body weight! Now that is one crazy diet. And most adult whales are the length of a schoolbus. Crazy fun facts! #whalewatch #ipreview via @preview.app

Had to capture this moment of gratitude. I mean, I’m on a boat in the ocean on Maui. It’s a gorgeous day, the sun is shining, I’m healthy, safe, happy and loved. I don’t wanna forget this.
Been juicing daily. I just dump whatever I find in there and it all turns out so yummy! My liver is happy and I feel less bloated overall. My wallet is also thrilled since fresh juice at a juicery can be almost $10. The nutrients are easily absorbed and gives my digestive system a rest. Bonus that my skin is clear and I totally feel a luminous glow. Today’s juice was celery, a lemon, ginger, cilantro, jalapeño, spinach, kale, a pear and pineapple.
The countdown begins! 13 days and I leave for Hawaii 🌴 🏖. A-L-O-N-E! I repeat, sans family. This feed is about to blow up with sandy beaches, gorgeous sunsets and selfies of a mamma looking awfully peaceful.
