The friendly and engaging Hawaiian man who officiated my brother’s ceremony had beautiful words to say about flowers on the Lei. I find their culture fascinating!
⠀⠀ First off, giving a lei represents a symbol of affection. The hand picked flowers are made with love, or aloha. They are made up of many flowers just like our lives are made up of many friends. They are fragrant just like the friends in our life. ⠀⠀ I’m totally thinking of all the fragrant friends in my life that surround me and love me. A circle of beauty! Of course I had to arrange these Leis in a predictable heart shape on the Hawaiian sand.
