I'll call this post toxic soup. I'm referring to the swirl of chemicals from multiple sources in our daily lives.
So I've been deeply wrapped up in the natural holistic world since graduating from Chiropractic college almost 20 years ago. We learned a lot about neurotoxins, not having chemical crap storms adulterating our body and natural healing.
I attended a wellness conference for laypeople this weekend. While I consider myself an expert in this field, I wanted to sit back and watch how others explain it. It was enlightening to be a member of the audience. It was also rewarding to see that so many people do have concern about chemicals but just don't know where to start with it all. Sadly 3.2 TRILLION dollars were spent last year on sick care. Not healthcare as we usually refer it to....but sick care.
Fun food facts-62% of our water usage goes to agriculture. The vast majority of that is beef-gotta give them cows some water. The average American throws out $640 of food per year PER Person! Perhaps consider a few more meatless Mondays!
It starts one step at a time. Here's a few to focus on in no particular order:
🌿natural personal care products (ladies apply on avg 12 a day so that's a lot of chemicals)
🌿non-toxic home cleaning products (kitchen is the worst place)
🌿clothing and furniture without flame retardants which are endocrine disrupters
🌿mindfulness practices (observe the flow of your emotions, body sensations and inner thoughts and practice empathy)
🌿water consumption ( basically you need more and no, coffee doesn't count)
🌿improve gut health (probiotics and fermented foods)
🌿balance emotions (use your plant oils and focus on POSITIVITY and GRATITUDE
🌿exercise ( shake dem bones!)
🌿I'm gonna add get your spine adjusted by an amazing Chiro! It does wonders to put your head on straight.
I take for granted that everyone knows what I know. I need to go back to the very basic info and share more about what we do.
