I took my dad to the ocean this week. Just me and him strolling along at low tide gazing into the vast Atlantic. It took a few laps but I slowly started to breathe deeper and let my shoulders drop. I literally felt the tension leave my body and wash out to sea. I need to be better at lowering my stress level. Remind me of that next time you see me! Call me out on it! That feeling of complete relation was almost foreign to my rush-rush-mom-mode way of life. I miss the old me and am looking for her. Next time you see me let’s take a DEEP breath...together.
