Day 3 DIY Holiday Gift Ideas ❄️❄️❄️
Salt soak in a cute clear globe ornament.
If you’re one of the 60 million Americans who has occasional or long-term sleep problems, you should try a Himalayan pink salt bath! The high mineral content allows you to hold in hydration and absorb those wonderful minerals into your body. Ever wonder why your skin doesn't wrinkle and prune up after a dip in the salty ocean??
A salt bath can especially help you relax and wind-down before bedtime. It can also help reduce inflammation, and therefore the pain, associated with arthritis and similar inflammatory conditions. Add some panaway and you have a party right there.
Now another option is Epsom salts. They are named for a bitter saline spring located at Epsom in Surrey, England. Epsom is different than traditional salts in that it is actually a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. These minerals have very powerful health benefits that can enhance the detoxification capabilities of salt. I prefer magnesium crystals or flakes and love the Ancient Minerals brand.
Do NOT take a salt bath if you are pregnant, dehydrated, have heart or circulatory issues or have wide open wounds.
I like to combine the 2 together for one awesome bath! However just Epsom or just pink salt or just magnesium is also perfectly acceptable.
Add some ribbon or jute string, maybe a jingle bell and you have a handmade gift. Include a note about what you made and how to use it. See pic of bottles for the link to purchase ingredients on Amazon. Of course you get the essential oil on your own Young Living account!
Children under 60 lbs: Add 1/2 cup of salts to a standard size bath
Individuals between 60-100 lbs: Add 1 cup of salts to a standard size bath
Individuals between 100-150 lbs: Add 1 1/2 cup of salts to a standard size bath
Individuals between 150-200 lbs: Add 2 cups of salts to a standard size bath
For every 50lbs larger - add in an additional 1/2 cup of salts
