❄️❄️❄️Day 2 DIY Holiday Gift Ideas ❄️❄️❄️
Sleepy time cream and cute fuzzy socks!

Did you know it can be insanely simple (and affordable) to make your own body cream? You can control the ingredients and even add your fragrance of choice! Here is a great one that you could label as sleepy time cream and encourage people to lather up before bedtime for some seriously rejuvenating Zzzzzzzzs. Package with cute fuzzy socks and tell your friend in a handwritten note to massage their feet before bedtime. Who doesn't have gross dry heels this time of year? Bonus that you sleep better while your feet get a drink. 💓
Ingredients needed:
1/2 cup shea butter
1/2 cup mango butter
1/4 cup coconut oil (refined won't have a scent)
4 oz grapeseed or sweet almond oil
1 teaspoon Vit E oil or open 2 capsules and squirt them in
20-30 drops of your favorite essential oil in this whole batch. Or if you want to make different scents then add cream to the jar and stir in 8-10 drops of chosen EO to each jar. I love 15 lavender and 15 cedarwood or 30 peace and calming.
Method:
-Melt the butters and coconut oil in a double boiler or mason jar placed into a pot of water
-put the shea or mango butter into a big bowl. Sick in fridge until it starts to firm up.
-grab your mixer and beat the mixture for a few minutes like you are making frosting.
-pour in the grapeseed or sweet almond oil and Vit E.
-whip with mixer until starts to soften then turn mixer to high and beat for AT LEAST 5 -7 minutes! It will whip up fluffy and smooth.
-if it's too thick add more grapeseed oil. Too watery, add more coconut or shea butter.
-stir the chosen EO in. DO not beat them in with the mixer so you respect their delicate nature. I do about 8-10 drops per container.
-I like to stir with a wooden chopstick since it's easy to get and easy to dispose of.
Respect the chemistry and gentle natural frequency of these beautiful oils and they will treat you right. Store on the countertop knowing all things without preservatives have a life expectancy. I would say this would be about 2-3 months. Enjoy!❤️💞💞

Add a cute label, some ribbon or jute string and you have a handmade gift. I love Nutiva coconut oil, mango butter and shea butter, sweet almond oil, vitamin E from the drugstore and your oils from your Young Living account.
