#uncluttered2020 continues with the KITCHEN!! Ok this is going to be a HUGE project. The kitchen is the hub of activity in most homes. 💩Clutter accumulates, junk drawers overflow, mismatched Tupperware and coffee mugs abound. This room will require 4 days to work on. Remember, 30 minutes at a time so you don’t burn out!! Do one section of cabinets at a time. Don’t remove everything from every cabinet or you will have a horrible mess! Stick to a section so you can tidy and declutter it and be done for the day. 🧹🧹🧹 And remember ask for hints or suggestions if you want some ideas For your own space ✅Diffuser on 💧 ✅Music blaring 🎵 ✅Getting down to business 🧼 My cabinet I put my pots and pans and probably drives me the most crazy. Mostly because we use it every day but also there is never space for everything. But when I took it all out and wiped the cabinet out I only put back what we actually use. I do cook a lot so I felt like I needed five skillets. But two of them everything sticks on no matter how much butter or coconut oil I use and I hate it. It makes me grumpy every time I use them! #byefelicia The other area we use multiple times a day is the silverware drawer. Mine is huge so I had to buy individual wooden boxes from bed Bath and beyond to keep it all organized visually. I probably could get rid of more but for now it’s at least contained. Ugh, another annoying area is where we store our Tupperware glass bowls and odds and ends. It’s always a mess and somehow I end up with 10 lids and NO bowls that match! By the time I weeded through it here’s a pics of the before and after. You can see the significant reduction in the quantity once I matched everything up. This makes me smile. We’ll see how functional it is for our family. I imagine you have a cabinet similar to this so tackle it, slay it, own it!! As people of been following along with my #Uncluttered2020 Challenge to myself they keep asking me when I find time to do this. Here I am making dinner and my kids are doing their homework. While things are simmering I am cleaning out just one cabinet!. By the time I remove everything, discard expired stuff, wipe it all out with my favorite thieves all purpose cleaner and put back what’s truly important, dinner is done, I have accomplished one task that needed to be done and it’s left clean. That’s about 30 minutes and that’s all I’m going to do in that section today. I don’t say I’m going to clean my kitchen today and get it all done in one hour. It will take me multiple days to truly Declutter, get rid of and make more efficient. I’m trying to do this as a permanent solution not just shuffle clutter from one room to the next! So yes, it will take you time and this is not a fast project but it is meant to be a permanent solution to clear out the cluttered and live a #Uncluttered life!
